At Westridge School, PFS girls in 5th and 6th grade engage in enriching and empowering summer experiences that nurture academic growth, confidence, and self-expression. Students strengthen skills in math, science, reading, writing, and technology through rigorous, engaging coursework taught by dedicated educators. Equal emphasis is placed on developing the whole child, with intentional support for building confidence, communication skills, and a strong sense of voice in the classroom.
Beyond core academics, students participate in daily physical education and a wide range of afternoon enrichment courses. These include hands-on learning in woodworking, robotics, and engineering design, encouraging creativity and problem-solving. The summer is enhanced by special traditions such as Career Day, Science Olympiad, Pajama Day, and Costume Day, along with field trips to local cultural and community institutions including the Natural History Museum, Descanso Gardens, and the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center. Through shared learning and collaboration, PFS students at Westridge build strong connections with peers, educators, and mentors—fostering confidence, curiosity, and a lasting sense of community.
