Community-based program supporting the growth and success of students in Pasadena
PARTNERSHIP FOR SUCCESS (PFS)
A nine-year educational journey that empowers Pasadena students to thrive.
Partnership for Success partners with Pasadena Unified School District and four independent schools to provide fully funded academic enrichment, mentorship, and college support from elementary school through college. We foster confidence, creativity, leadership, and college and career readiness by connecting students with dynamic teaching, hands-on learning, and a supportive, inclusive community.
HOW IT WORKS
Girls begin the program at Westridge School and boys at Chandler School before fifth and sixth grades. Students then continue at Mayfield Junior School before seventh and eighth grades and Polytechnic School throughout high school and into college. Along the way, they learn in small classes from outstanding educators and receive individualized support from paid teaching interns, many of whom are PFS alumni and graduates of our partner schools.
400+ Young Scholars
Our program addresses educational disparities by offering a fully funded academic enrichment program for promising young PUSD students.
9 Years
Students spend nine consecutive summers taking 40+ courses in math, science, technology, humanities, and the arts.
100%
