PFS Community Engagement and Support

PFS Mentor Program

The PFS Mentor Program is a year-round program that gives high school students from across various schools the opportunity to engage with 5th through 9th grade PFS students and provide academic and social emotional support through mentorship and tutoring. The purpose of the mentor program is to help build a strong relationship between high school students in the community and PFS students. Through the PFS Mentor Program, we are able to provide greater connection and social emotional support to our PFS students beyond the 5-week summer program and into the academic year.

PFS Puentes Program

The PFS Puentes Program was designed to establish a sustainable and continuous trusting partnership with our families. By offering periodical parent education workshops in both Spanish and English, families experience a sense of support, inclusion, and belonging that ultimately benefits the student educational experience. Furthermore, PFS Puentes develops, establishes, and maintains various platforms of communication where parents can easily find pertinent resources, information, and support, in order to grow and become better partners in the educational journey of their children. Past PFS Puentes workshops have included “The Importance of Social Emotional Health in Our Children’s Lives” and “Navigating the Road to College From an Early Age”.
